Join Rachel Dix for a unique cooking demo series, Meal Prep Mondays, at the Public Library Kitchen as she demonstrates how to make your meals gluten & dairy free. Each demo will focus on a different theme. Future themes are, kid-friendly lunches & snacks, make ahead picnic foods, Camping meal prep, and so much more!

Growing Roses in Zone 4 Demo/Info

Wednesday, April 25th at 6:30 PM in the Library Kitchen

The Hardy Rosarians of South Dakota will be hosting a demo and information session on how to grow roses in Brown County. Marilyn Maloney and Lori Unterseher will be sharing their experiences growing roses, types of roses for certain soils, etc. If you feel like your roses are annuals rather than perennials, then this is the demo for you. No registration required.

Summer Family Health Fair, Friday, May 11th, 2:00-6:00PM

A health fair for the entire family. Skin screenings with the Derma Scan, bicycle safety, summer first aid-treating mosquito bites, sunburns, scrapes and the importance of hydration. Healthy snack demos, essential oil ideas, etc.

Ages: Adults only. Must be 18 years or older.
Time: 6:00 PM
Registration and $8 fee is required.

Calling all adults who love to talk about food-home cooks and self-proclaimed foodies of all experience levels! The Public Library has started a Cooking Club. This unique club will provide you with the outlet to share this love with people who have the exact same passion. No more need to talk endlessly about the intricacies of food to a bewildered spouse or family member; use the club to get this out of your system!

Trivia Tuesday

Trivia Tuesday is a program in which teams compete against each other in answering questions from various topics. Participants can choose their own teams of 3 to 5 people or individuals may register for Trivia Tuesday and will be assigned a team before game-play.

Date: 3rd Tuesday of January, February, and March   (1/16, 2/21. 3/27-date changed for March due to scheduling conflict, 4/24)
Time: 7:00-8:30
From working together on tough questions to joking with other teams, team members bond with each other and other teams to create a fun, stimulating environment filled with friendly competition. Everyone has fun at Trivia Night!

The Public Library organizes the following book clubs for the general public:

    Book Club in a Bag


    Library patrons can check out all the materials needed to start their own book club or discussion. Each bag will contain several copies of a book, reading guides, discussion questions, etc. Book club bags can be checked out on your library card.
