Dog Obedience

Registration for all Winter/Spring Classes will begin Monday, January 6, 2020. Programs are filled on a first-pay, first-served basis, preregistration by the published deadline is required. Payment can be made by credit or debit card by phone or by check or cash in person. Online Registration also available. All classes are subject to 6.5% sales tax. Dog obedience classes fill early and are on a first pay basis. Reserve your place in class by calling 626-7015 and pay with your Visa/MasterCard or Discover.


K-9 KINDERGARTEN


For puppies ages 3 months to 2 years - maximum. This weekly class emphasizes a basic obedience regimen, with a high priority placed on socialization between canines, and meeting new people. Participants will learn canine body language, and how it relates to other canines, animals and people. Puppies will also be introduced to agility equipment, near the end of each session. Participants are required to bring proof of appropriate vaccinations, and Bordetella vaccination is required to attend. Ages 14 and up.

CANINE CONNECTION THROUGH CLICKER TRAINING!
Using positive reinforcement let’s tap into your pet’s true potential! This course is designed to be an introduction into the topic of clicker training and strives to promote responsible pet ownership and a better connecting between you and your pets. This is not a pass/fail class, just a fun way to help you and your dog learn new skills. Course topics will include preventative health care, training for vet exams, solving problem behaviors, all while learning fun tricks and behaviors to impress your friends and indirectly socialize you dog. No pre-requisites and open to all ages of dogs. Be prepared to bring treats to class to train with. Participants will need to bring shot records for canine to class as proof of appropriate vaccinations and Bordetella is required. Ages 16 and up.

GOOD PUP BASICS

In this canine obedience class, focus on raising healthy, well-adjusted, and socialized dogs. Learn new techniques to build your dog’s confidence using positive reinforcement, and help your dog develop proper manners, play skills, and self-control while building a strong relationship between yourself and your dog. Participants will need to bring shot records for canine to class as proof of appropriate vaccinations and Bordetella is required. Ages 16 and up.

CANINE MANNERS CLASS
Are you the top dog in your home, or is your dog the one who runs the show? Be the master of your domain once again by enrolling Fido in this beginning course to help you gain control! This course will cover basic training in come, sit, down, greeting strangers, stay, and heel along with basic behavioral conditioning to establish pack order in the household. Participants must be strong enough to handle their dog. Participants will need to bring shot records for canine to class as proof of appropriate vaccinations and Bordetella is required. Ages 10 and up.

ADVANCED DOG OBEDIENCE
This class will include walking off-leash, recall off leash, ground-work for agility, and lots of other fun things that you can teach your dog! Ages 12 and up. Dogs must have completed (and passed) basic obedience class. Ages 13 and up.
